VOCATIONAL REHABILATION:
The Vocational Rehabilitation program assists individuals with disabilities to become economically independent through work. This is achieved through the rehabilitation process which engages applicants in actively exploring their vocational interests, abilities, capabilities and service/process options and in making choices.
The VR Program helps people with disabilities become or remain economically independent through work.
High School students with a documented disability should apply for services before the end of their senior year.
To qualify you must have a documented disability.
To begin services contact the office closest to you.

2010 Census Data On Disabilities Is Now Available
The U.S. Census Bureau has just released their report, American With Disabilities: 2010
which presents data and information from the 2010 Census (May-August, 2010) as it relates to this important population. Prior to this issuance, the most current census data for Americans with disabilities was from the 2005 census.

- Over 56 million people in the United States have a disability.
- This translates to 19% of the total population or nearly 1 out of every 5 people.
- Of this number, over two-thirds, or 38 million, report having a severe disability.
