Pima Country JTED
Pima County JTED
The Pima County Joint Technical Education District is a public high school district that provides free career and technical education to all sophomore, junior and senior level high school students in Pima County to give them a head start on college and careers.
We serve students from public, private, and charter schools, students who are home-schooled, as well as students who either have, or who are in the process of earning a GED. Students may attend JTED classes at one of our Central Campuses, located throughout Pima County, or at one of our satellite locations which are located at all public high schools in Pima County, Santa Cruz Valley, and in Mammoth San Manuel.
Students who enroll in Pima County JTED programs earn high school credit, and in some cases, may earn college credit, industry certifications, and/or a state license. We do not offer core curriculum classes, nor do we award high school diplomas.
Students interested in JTED programs SHOULD visit Mrs.Bailey in T146 AND READ THE PROGRAM GUIDE BEFORE ENROLLING. These programs are Career programs, not leisure or intervention classes. Each program is unique and has different requirements and meet times. Classes begin August 5th, however students are strongly encouraged to enroll in the early spring to improve their chances of being selected for their programs. JTED programs are free or low cost and bus passes may be available. JTED program times vary and depending of those times and each student's unique situation they may or may not be able to participate. TUSD and THMS requires students to be enrolled full- time. Full time enrollment as a senior at THMS is 5 classes, and 6 classes as a junior. ***Our bell schedule may not coincide an allow for enough time to get to JTED. The bell schedule should be out shortly. Please check and read the program guide for details as to each program schedule, time commitment and cost information.
